SMOK Novo Pro Review 2025

The SMOK Novo Pro is the latest addition to the popular Novo family, which started back in 2018. Over the years, we have seen many versions of these well-loved pod vapes each one slightly better than the last.

People have high hopes for the new SMOK Novo Pro. While it does not bring any huge changes, it does have some cool new features compared to the Novo Master. It comes with an OLED screen, adjustable power, a strong 1300 mAh battery, fast 1.6A charging, and new 3 mL pods.

One of the best things about the Novo Pro is that it works with pods from older Novo devices. So, if you already love the Novo pods so you can use them with this new and improved device. This makes it a good choice for Novo fans.

Keep reading to find out how the Novo Pro performs and if it deserves a place in the Novo lineup.

SMOK Novo Pro

The SMOK Novo Pro Pod Kit comes in two styles leather and regular. This cool kit is made of strong zinc alloy and has a built-in 1300mAh battery. It can go up to 30 watts of power and has a special mode that you can activate with just four clicks. The Novo Pro combines style and pro-level features, making it simple yet powerful.

You can use Novo, Novo 2, and Novo 2x pods with the Novo Pro Kit. These pods can hold 3ml of e-liquid and come with built-in 0.8ohm and 0.6ohm mesh coils. The Novo Pro is smart—it knows which pod you are using and adjusts the power automatically. You can also use the power button to make other changes.

With the SMOK Novo Pro Pod Kit, you can switch between MTL (Mouth To Lung), DTL (Direct To Lung), and RDL (Restricted Direct Lung) vaping styles. This way, you can make your vaping experience just the way you like it.

About SMOK Novo Pro Design

The SMOK NOVO Pro is a handy pod vape that is a bit bigger than its older Novo friends. It has a display that shows battery life and wattage settings, and comes in a lot of colors – 13, to be exact.

This device is sleek, slim, and feels fancy to hold. It stands out among other Novo pod vapes. The competition is tough, especially with the XROS Pro trying to grab attention, but SMOK’s design work is impressive. Everything fits together nicely, with no wobbly parts, and the mouthpiece and MTL draw are excellent.

The Novo Pro has a button for activation, which is a nice touch. Buttons are often better than breath-activated vapes because they feel good to press and are less likely to break or fire off in your pocket.

On the side, there is an airflow setting to switch between different vaping styles, and it works really well. You can choose from DTL (Direct To Lung), RDL (Restricted Direct Lung), and MTL (Mouth To Lung) settings. Personally, I like to keep it on MTL for stronger Nic Salts juice and longer battery life.

The SMOK NOVO Pro has a 1300mAh battery, charges quickly with USB Type-C, and lets you adjust the power up to 30W, making it possible to use high VG juice too.

Vape Features

The SMOK NOVO Pro has some cool new design features. It has an air switch, a display screen, and a Smart Mode that adjusts the wattage automatically based on the pod’s coil resistance.

There are new pods too, which we will talk about soon. But in general, the SMOK NOVO Pro is a smarter and better version of the older NOVO pod. It still has everything people love about the NOVO pod vapes but with more power (30W), extra settings, and new buttons.

If you have been using a SMOK NOVO pod vape for a while and want an upgrade, the NOVO Pro could be the perfect choice for you.

Coils

With the SMOK NOVO Pro, you can use all the old SMOK coils from the NOVO 2, the original NOVO, and the NOVO X. Plus, there are two new coil options just for the NOVO Pro, a 0.8ohm and a 0.6ohm mesh.

SMOK’s coils can be a bit hit or miss but I found the new NOVO Pro coils to work really well. They lasted about 9-12 days each time.

The old coils are pretty good too, although their lifespan can vary. This is why I like the Vaporesso XROS series: their coils are super consistent, last for weeks, and the flavor is amazing.

Battery Life

The SMOK NOVO Pro has a super strong battery life. It comes with a 1300mAh battery and charges quickly with a USB C cable. Even if you are low on power, a quick 20-minute charge will almost fill it up.

The NOVO Pro beats the XROS 3 and XROS Mini in this area. Its larger battery usually lasts a full day, while the XROS models often need a recharge.

But there is a catch! If you use the NOVO Pro at its highest power (30W), the battery drains faster and might not last the whole day. Stick to lower power and MTL vaping for a full day of use.

Performance

SMOK Novo Pro

The airflow on the SMOK Novo Pro is super smooth and stands out as a great feature. No matter the setting, it feels perfect. The adjustment switch is a bit loose but it still works great.

The device comes with two pods: a 0.6-ohm pod and a 0.8-ohm pod. The vaping style or wattage is not listed on the pods, manual, or website. But do not worry, the recommended wattage feature helps you out.

I tried both pods for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping and also tested the 0.8-ohm pod for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping. Here is how they did:

0.6-ohm (RDL)

At first, this pod gave a great RDL experience at 18 watts. My favorite fruity menthol e-liquid tasted fantastic. Sadly, it started giving semi-dry hits quickly, even at lower wattages. I only used about 10 mL of e-liquid before it stopped working well.

0.8-ohm (RDL)

Using the same e-liquid, the flavor was great, maybe even better than the 0.6-ohm pod. I still got some semi-dry hits but not as often. I enjoyed using it but wished it lasted longer. After about 22 mL of e-liquid, it was done.

0.8-ohm (MTL)

This is where the Novo Pro shines. The 0.8-ohm pod with MTL e-liquid and tighter airflow was amazing. The flavor was rich and clear. It might not be as good as the Caliburn A3 or XROS Pro, but I could use it all day without complaints. However, it did not last as long as the other 0.8-ohm pod; the performance dropped after about 20 mL.

Last Words

I have had a good time using the SMOK Novo Pro. It is a handy device with a nice size, long battery life, and good e-liquid capacity, making it great for on-the-go use. Plus, it is priced well, and the MTL experience with the 0.8-ohm pod was enjoyable.

It is a good device, but not perfect. Here is why: the pods sometimes gave semi-dry hits with 70VG juice when doing RDL. One puff could be great, and the next not so much. The pods also didn’t last very long. Also, the airflow switch was too loose, making it hard to keep the preferred setting.

Even with these issues, the SMOK Novo Pro is still a good choice for those looking to move away from disposable vapes. It’s a nice MTL vape with flavorful pods, and the interface is easy to use. Just remember to try different pods from the Novo line—the top-fill pods seemed to work better than the side-fill ones I tested.
