VAPORESSO XROS 3
Vaporesso XROS 3 is the newest pod vape in the XROS family, perfect for people who like different types of vaping. With the XROS 3, you can switch from a tight mouth-to-lung (MTL) vape to a restricted direct lung (RDL) vape easily.
One of the coolest things about the XROS 3 is its AXON chipset. This fancy chip makes sure the device works smoothly and even boosts power with a special PULSE Mode. Plus, it has a big 1000mAh battery that you can recharge. Once it is fully charged, you can vape for 48 hours without stopping.
The XROS 3 works with all XROS pods. It holds 2ml of eLiquid and comes with a new 0.6ohm meshed coil for RDL vaping. There is also another pod in the pack with a 1.0ohm meshed coil. Vape Design
Just like always, VAPORESSO products are top-notch! The XROS 3 has a nice weight and feels super high-quality. The button is clicky, and the airflow slider is solid (unlike the Caliburn X, which was a bit loose). The pods are clear and well-made too.
The XROS 3 is a bit bigger than the XROS 2 and the Caliburn A2 but it has a bigger battery. It is still compact and easy to carry around.
As for the design, the XROS 3 looks simple but nice. It has a thin LED bar at the bottom, which is bright and has a cool neon rainbow effect. You can hide it if you want. The colors are what make it stand out. I got the sky blue and rose pink versions which are gradient colors. There are also three more gradient colors and three solid colors: black, navy blue, and space grey.
Using Guide
Using the Vaporesso XROS 3 is super easy! Here is how you do it:
- Remove the Mouthpiece – Push the flat side of the mouthpiece to pop it off.
- Fill the Pod – Pour your eLiquid into the red-marked hole and let it sit for five minutes to soak.
- Turn It On/Off – Click the fire button five times to turn it on or off.
- Adjust the Airflow – Use the slider on the front to set the airflow—right for tight, left for loose.
- Vape – Press the button or simply inhale on the mouthpiece to start vaping.
The only tricky part is the LED bar at the bottom. You can not turn it off with a button but you can easily hide it with your finger when using the device in draw activation mode.
Performance
The XROS 3 comes with two cool pods:
- 0.6-ohm Mesh Pod – Great for mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping.
- 1.0-ohm Mesh Pod – Perfect for MTL vaping.
Each pod vapes differently but I think the one meant for RDL is actually better for MTL. The XROS 3 also works with all old XROS pods!
The 1.0-ohm pod is definitely for MTL vaping. You can adjust the airflow from slightly loose to very tight. It works great with higher-strength salts. I loved using it with the airflow halfway open and 25 mg salts. The flavor is awesome from the first puff, and I have used six pods without any loss in performance. If you open the airflow all the way, you might need to use the button but the sensor is super sensitive on other settings.
The 0.6-ohm pod can go from loose MTL to tight RDL. Unlike the LUXE QS, the mouthpiece doesn’t get hot with RDL vaping. I mainly used it as an MTL vape with the airflow almost closed. When I opened it halfway, I had to use the button because the sensor missed some hits. My 20 mg salt felt a bit strong with this pod but it was perfect for my 7 mg freebase juice. I have used about eight or nine pods so far, and they still work like new ones.
This COREX tech is amazing! Both coils give incredible flavor, just like the QS pods. It is hard to find better MTL pods with such great flavor and long-lasting performance. They are my top choice and the only other device I have not tried that might compete with VAPORESSO pods is the Galex Nano by Freemax.
About Battery Life
Using the XROS 3 with the 0.6-ohm pod, I vaped more than 3.5 mL on a single charge! That is almost as much as the 4 mL I got from the LUXE QS. The 1000 mAh battery works really well, especially since the vape is so warm on the XROS 3.
The LED bar at the bottom shows the battery level after each puff. Here’s what the colors mean:
- Green Light: 70-100% battery
- Blue Light: 30-70% battery
- Red Light: 0-30% battery
When you need to charge, use the Type-C port at the bottom. It takes about 55 minutes for a full charge which is fast and just under an hour! With such great battery life charging is super quick and easy.
Last Words
Just like the LUXE QS, the Vaporesso XROS 3 is awesome for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping and okay for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping. The cool thing about the XROS 3 is that it has adjustable airflow, making the RDL experience a bit better since the mouthpiece does not get too warm.
The best part of the XROS 3 is its coil technology! The COREX pods give amazing flavor for a long time. VAPORESSO has made two great pod vapes in a row (three if you count the XROS 3 Mini that uses the same pods). The secret is their coil tech.
I still like using the LUXE QS because it works perfectly with its default airflow and is smaller. But if you want to adjust the airflow and sometimes vape RDL then the XROS 3 is a great choice. You will love it!
