The LUXE X Pod Kit by Vaporesso is an awesome vape gadget. It has a strong 1500mAh battery that gives you up to 40W of power. The design is super cool and transparent, made from tough zinc alloy so it won’t break easily.
What’s special about the LUXE X is that it is Vaporesso’s first pod system with non-replaceable coils. It comes with two types of pods: one for big clouds (0.4ohm) and one for smaller clouds (0.8ohm). Each pod can hold 5ml of e-liquid and has a bottom-fill port with a silicone stopper, making it easy to refill. You can switch between pods and adjust the airflow to get the kind of vape you like, whether it is big clouds or small clouds.
Even though it is small and simple, the LUXE X has advanced tech inside. It uses an AXON chip and CORTEX technology for fast and even heating. Vape Design
The LUXE X is a bit bigger than basic pods like the Caliburn A2 or the LUXE QS but it is not as big as some other large vapes. It is similar in size to the GEN AIR 40. Even though it is light, it feels strong and not cheap, thanks to its clear crystal-like casing that makes it see-through.
You can get the LUXE X in seven colors, with a black-to-transparent fade and a colorful metal ring at the bottom. I reviewed the blue one, and it looks really cool because of the clear casing.
It has only one button for power and on/off and there are three LEDs at the bottom to show the battery level. It is a simple and well-built pod system that looks awesome.
Using Guide
The LUXE X is a user-friendly pod system, perfect for beginners. You do not need to worry about complex button combinations or modes. Just press the fire button five times to turn it on or off and hold the button to vape.
You can adjust the airflow by turning the pod, which changes the vape from a loose MTL to a restricted DTL. Filling the pod is easy with its magnetic design. Just pull it out to remove and pop it back in, and the magnets will keep it secure.
The pod has a black rubber plug at the bottom for refilling. It can be a bit hard to see the juice levels because of the dark tint but overall, it is a great device to use. Vaporesso plans to improve the pod design in the future, which will make it even better.
Performance
The most important part of any vape is the coils. Vaporesso’s pod systems have had great coils lately, so let’s see how the LUXE X performs.
The LUXE X uses new pods with built-in coils, available in two options: 0.4-ohm for RDL vaping and 0.8-ohm for MTL vaping. The box includes one of each pod so you can try both and see what you like.
These coils use the latest COREX heating technology, promising 50% more flavor and 50% longer life. I started with the 0.8-ohm coil using nicotine salt juice, and the flavor was great. The coil lasted for about 50 mL of juice, which is impressive. The 0.4-ohm coil, used with regular e-juice, also performed well but I preferred it on the tighter setting. Its coil life was average, around 50 mL.
Overall, both coils are good but I prefer the LUXE X for MTL vaping with lower-wattage coils and higher nicotine juices.
About Battery Life
The battery of the LUXE X lasts a long time, especially with the 0.8-ohm coil. It has a 1500 mAh battery, charges through a Type-C port at the bottom, and takes around 65 minutes for a full charge. The actual charging rate I found was 1.19A, and the battery size seemed a bit overrated at just over 1200 mAh.
You can vape while charging thanks to passthrough vaping. The device has three LED lights to show battery levels: three lights mean 60-100%, two lights 30-60%, and one light 0-30%. I wished it had a four-step battery meter like the GEN AIR 40 but VAPORESSO might improve this in the future.
Last Words
Overall, VAPORESSO did a great job with the LUXE X. If you are looking for a small, light, and low-wattage MTL vape with great battery life, this is a fantastic choice. The DL vaping is okay but not the best. However, it really shines with the 0.8-ohm coil for low-wattage MTL vaping. You won’t be disappointed.
