Welcome to our review of the VAPORESSO OSMALL 2, an updated version of their popular MTL pod vape. The OSMALL 2 keeps the small and portable design of the original but comes with some exciting changes. It has an upgraded body made of textured zinc alloy, weighs only 26.5 grams, and now features a Type-C charging port for added convenience. The 450 mAh battery provides more power and the new design offers better leak protection.
This little pod vape is perfect for high-nicotine e-juice users who want a tight MTL (mouth-to-lung) vape. The OSMALL 2 includes a 2 mL magnetized drop-in pod with a new 1.2-ohm coil, which is also compatible with the original pods. Although the type of wicking material used is not specified, it is likely the same as the original’s efficient flax fiber cotton, which handled high VG juice impressively.

Vape Design
The OSMALL 2 is like a cool upgrade of its older brother, the MTL pod vape. It looks simple, just like the first one but the OSMALL 2 is fancier and better made. The first OSMALL was made of plastic and it was cheap but it did not feel strong. The OSMALL 2, I think, is made of zinc alloy.
Although it has the same shape, the body feels nicer and looks better. The new one still has that rounded, flat rectangle shape but is now made of metal with a water flow texture. It is a small change but it makes a big difference.
The OSMALL 2 also comes with a Type-C charging port at the bottom. I always wished the original had this and now it does.
I really like that VAPORESSO just improved the device instead of making a completely new one. I bet other people who liked the original feel the same way and appreciate the new updates.
Using Guide
First, take the device out of the box and remove the little pod and the seal from the bottom. To start, just fill the pod with your favorite liquid and wait a few minutes for the wick to soak.
To fill or refill the pod, use your nail to pull down from the top of the plug. If you pull from the bottom, the whole plug will come out. It is not hard to put it back but it might be tricky if your fingers are big.
The device should already be charged when you get it. On the front, there is a small oval plate with a tiny light. It is hard to see while vaping but if the light is solid when you take a puff the battery is charged. Unfortunately, there are not any other ways to tell how full the battery is.
Performance
The OSMALL 2 is really good for sneaky vaping. It is like smoking a cigarette, and it is quiet too. You can hear a tiny click when you start to vape.
The OSMALL 2 can handle thick liquids even though it is made for high nicotine. I do not use nicotine salts anymore so it is nice that I can make my own thick, high-nicotine juice and use it with the OSMALL 2. Even sweet and thick juices last a long time in the pods. It is hard to say exactly how long because the pods only taste bad when I use salts and think they’ll work differently. It is kind of funny.
The OSMALL 2 gives clean and nice flavors. The vape feels warm but never gets hot, even when I take long draws. The coils are strong and can handle any kind of juice and lots of vaping without problems.
The old OSMALL used to gurgle and leak, but the OSMALL 2 does not have those problems. Unless I fill it too much and need a quick wipe with a tissue. There is no gurgling, popping, or spitting with the OSMALL Two.
About Battery Life
Charging the OSMALL 2 takes about 45 minutes using a Type-C port, and it can still work while charging. It has a 450 mAh battery, which is bigger than the original’s 350 mAh. That is a 29% increase so you can use it longer in a day with one charge.
The small LED light is hidden but not very useful. I like that it does not have too many lights but you won’t know how much battery is left until it is empty. When the battery is empty, it will flash. There are no other colors or ways to see how full the battery is. When it is charging, the battery light stays on until it’s fully charged then it goes off.
Last Words
I am super excited to have the new OSMALL. The OSMALL 2 is just an update, not a whole new device. It can still use any juice and it has long-lasting coils. I think the OSMALL 2 is a great MTL vape for people who want something simple and easy to carry.
The metal body and water ripple texture of the OSMALL 2 make it feel nice to hold and add a bit of style without looking too flashy. The extra protection against leaks is really great because that was a big problem with the first one. With a bit longer battery life and Type-C charging, the OSMALL 2 hardly has any downsides for me—the ones it does have are really small.
The OSMALL 2 is a device I will probably use more than any other because it fits my vaping style perfectly—high nicotine and MTL, with a stealthy look.
