GeekVape Aegis Legend 3 Review 2025

Let’s dive into the world of one of the most famous vaping devices out there! Today, we are going to take a closer look at the GeekVape Aegis Legend 3 Kit, the latest innovation from the well-known brand, Geekvape.
This is the newest member of the Aegis family, which has been known for being strong and durable. The first Aegis mod was really special because it was one of the first rugged mods to be mass-produced for vaping.
Since then, Geekvape has made several different versions of the Aegis. The original Aegis Legend was a dual-18650 battery version, while the L200 (Legend 2) came out in 2021. And now, in 2025, we have the Aegis Legend 3! There is also an L200 Classic, but I have not tried that one.
Here is a fun fact: Some people call this new kit the L200 III but Geekvape’s website calls it the Aegis Legend 3 so that is what we will stick with for this review. Just like the older versions, it is built to be super strong and has an IP68 rating, making it really tough against water and dust. Plus, it comes with a powerful Z FLI sub ohm tank and is rated at 200 watts.
The Geekvape Aegis line has a history of amazing products. Let’s find out if the Aegis Legend 3 lives up to its name.
GeekVape Aegis Legend 3
The Aegis Legend 3 Kit by GeekVape is a cool new device that makes vaping fun and easy. It uses two batteries and can reach up to 200W of power. This device is perfect for those who want something that works great and looks awesome.
One amazing feature is that you can use it just by touching it with your hand, as it is set to touch mode by default. Even if you have gloves on, you can still unlock it easily. The upgraded AS Chipset 4.0 helps keep the device working well even when the battery is low, ensuring you always get good flavor. The Aegis Legend 3 also comes with a 5.5ml Z Fli tank and a Z coil already installed.
The Legend 3 is very sturdy and it is waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof, making it super durable. Plus, it has a Memory Mode that lets you save your top 5 favorite settings. The device looks really cool with its user-friendly design and comes in ten different colors so you can choose the one you like best.

The Legend 3 Dual Battery Mod
The Legend 3 is a cool vape device that uses two 18650 batteries and can go up to 200W of power. GeekVape has added many fun features, including a memory mode where you can save five different settings.
This is great for people who like to change how they vape often. There is also a “touch to unlock” system on the back that unlocks the device when you hold it.
This new feature is super handy because you don’t have to look at the screen to use it. It also stops the device from accidentally turning up the power in your pocket, which can make the vape too strong and hurt your throat.
Style Updates on the Legend 3 Mod
GeekVape’s Legend 3 Mod has some cool new style features. The overall look is similar, with the classic shape and comfy rubber/leather back cushion. But, they have made the USB port cover easier to use so you do not need a special cable to charge it. They have also improved the battery cover with a nice rubber piece that clicks perfectly in place.
The biggest change is the buttons. The chunky fire button is now smaller and clicks really well, making it easier to use. The adjustment buttons are now part of the screen and work smoothly. These changes make the mod look more modern and feel better to use.
Inside, GeekVape updated it with the A.S Chip 4.0 and faster charging at 5V/3amp so you can charge it quickly if needed. The user interface (UI) is the same as other GeekVape devices—easy to navigate with three clicks of the fire button to get to the menus.
There are several modes such as smart mode, power mode, boosting mode, memory mode, eco mode to save battery, and TCR for temperature control. Other menu options include lock settings, puff reset, color change, brightness, and an about page.
Smart Mode and Other Vaping Modes

The smart mode on the Legend 3 was not my favorite. It made me vape at a higher power than I like and I could not go below 70W because it adjusts based on the coil’s resistance. I prefer using rebuildable mesh coils at a lower power so I stuck with the usual power mode. This smart mode might be great for the tank that comes with the kit and other stock coil tanks but it did not suit my preference.
Power mode lets you adjust the settings however you like, which I enjoy. I usually stick to this mode, no matter what else is available. Boosting mode shows “MAX” on the screen, which seems like another name for bypass mode. Maybe it is safer, not sure.
Memory mode is a new feature for the Legend series but I’ve seen it on other mods. It is useful if you have different tanks and vaping styles. For example, I have tanks for mouth-to-lung (MTL), restricted direct-lung (RDL), and regular direct-lung (DL) vaping so memory mode is handy for keeping my favorite settings for each.
The Eco mode on the Legend 3 is pretty good. It runs at a bit higher power than I set on my tanks and is not adjustable so it seems meant for stock coil tanks. However, it still gives a strong draw and helps save battery power, which is a nice addition.
Temperature Control and Usability
The Temperature Control (TC) and Temperature Coefficient of Resistance (TCR) settings on the Legend III are features I do not use often but I tested them out with stainless steel mesh strips. It is a simple setup: you can adjust the wattage and temperature but you can not choose a specific material. With my preferred temperature setting, it worked very well, which is impressive as I previously found GeekVape’s TC to be underpowered. Even though I do not use TC much, it is good to know it works well for my needs.
Using the Legend III 3 is easy. They have added some features I love, like the touch to unlock. Just hold the mod and it unlocks! After a while, it locks the buttons again which is very convenient. The smart mode is great for many users, providing a recommended wattage range for the coil you’re using. It is perfect for new users or those using stock coils. Even the Eco mode is useful, giving a good vape while saving battery power.
I tried my Vandy Vape Kylin M Pro tank and my Hellvape Dead Rabbit M and Hellvape Fat Rabbit 2 tanks on it. The vape was consistent and it did not feel underpowered, thanks to the AS 4.0 chip.
Last Words
My only small issue with the Legend 3 mod is that the top panel, which holds the 510, can get marked easily. But if you want to keep it looking new, you can use a gasket or vanity ring.
GeekVape has done a fantastic job making a mod that is great for both new and experienced users. I love its functionality and the super handy lock system. Sometimes, a little feature can be amazingly good! The Legend 3 is customizable but also has modes for those who do not like to tinker with settings. While I am not big on Temperature Control (TC), I appreciate its simple operation and might use it more often. Plus, it is still water, dust, and shockproof with an IP68 rating.
I also really like the design. It is great that I can use any USB C cable now, the rubber bottom is nice, and the adjustment buttons are neatly encased in the screen’s bottom. In short, I love the Legend III.
