Vaporesso LUXE X2 Pod System Review 2025

Hey there, vape fans! Let me introduce you to the newest addition in the vaping world: the VAPORESSO LUXE X2. This is the fifth device in the LUXE X line since its debut in August 2022, and it is been winning hearts ever since. The LUXE X devices have become a favorite among both newbies and experienced vapers because they perform like champs and are super versatile. There is a LUXE X for everyone, and I am lucky to have enjoyed two of their earlier versions. So you can bet I was pumped to try out the latest model.
So, what is fresh and exciting with the LUXE X2? For starters, it now boasts 25% more battery capacity (a whopping 2000 mAh), giving you extra vaping time. It also features auto- and button-activation, fully adjustable airflow, and an impressive new series of pods with COREX 2.0 technology. The LUXE X2 includes two pods with integrated coils but here is the cool part—it is still compatible with the other LUXE X pods, both replaceable coil and integrated coil versions.
Now, the big question: Is VAPORESSO just riding on the LUXE name, or is the LUXE X2 genuinely an improvement? Spoiler: It’s the latter. Keep reading to discover why the VAPORESSO LUXE X2 might just become your new go-to pod system.
Vaporesso LUXE X2 Pod System
Vaporesso LUXE X2 Pod System is part of the LUXE X family and has a huge 2000mAh battery, which means you can vape for up to four days without charging. How cool is that? The LUXE X2 has a simple design and an updated mouthpiece perfect for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping.
This awesome pod system uses Corex 2.0 and SSS leak-resistant technologies so you get great flavor without the mess. It comes with a LUXE X Pod cartridge that can hold 5ml of eLiquid. The kit includes two pods: one with a 0.6ohm meshed coil and another with a 0.8ohm meshed coil, both non-replaceable.
The LUXE X2 also has a dual firing mechanism and precise airflow adjustment features which means you can customize the airflow to match your vaping style.

Vape Design
The new VAPORESSO LUXE X2 keeps the stylish look of the earlier LUXE X devices, with a body made of metal and transparent plastic. Unlike the first three versions, you can not see the chipset anymore, making it look more like a LUXE X PRO without a display.
Even though it is bigger than most pod systems, it is still handy enough to fit in your pocket, about the size of a harmonica. The rounded edges and smooth finish make it comfortable to hold, and it does not get fingerprints easily. The textured front plate, which looks like leather but is actually plastic, helps you find the button quickly.
The button itself is firm and makes a nice click but the real star here is the adjustable airflow switch. This is a huge improvement. The old version had just two airflow settings, depending on the pod orientation. But now, the new airflow switch on the side lets you fine-tune the airflow perfectly. It is got just the right tension so it would not slide around with a light touch.
Overall, the build quality of the LUXE X2 is excellent as always with VAPORESSO. It might not feel like a super high-end device but it is definitely a step above the competition.
COREX 2.0 Pods
The new LUXE X2 pods have three big changes:
- They use COREX 2.0 technology, which means the coils can not be replaced. They work great and we will talk more about that later.
- The mouthpiece has been redesigned to be slimmer and more comfortable. It is especially better for mouth-to-lung (MTL) and restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping.
- The plastic is less tinted, making it easier to see the e-liquid level.
Also in the package, there is a card that helps you know which pods and coils work best with different nicotine strengths and e-liquids. All LUXE X pods and devices can be used together but some high-power coils might not be the best for the X2 since it only goes up to 40 watts.
Using Guide
The LUXE X devices come in 2 types: advanced (with a screen and adjustable wattage) and simple (no settings; just plug and play). The VAPORESSO LUXE X2 is in the simple category. The only thing you can change is the airflow.
To turn it on or off, just click the button five times. When it’s on, you can inhale or press the button to vape. Easy peasy.
Although this simplicity makes it user-friendly, it would have been nice if you could lock the button. But let’s not fuss since the original LUXE X did not even have auto-draw (you had to press the button to vape).
You can fill the pod through the rubber tab at the bottom. It opens easily, and because the pod and fill port are big, the air escapes quickly, letting you fill the chamber with one big squeeze.
Vape Performance

The airflow on the VAPORESSO LUXE X2 is amazing. Whether you keep it wide open for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping or closed off for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping, it is super smooth. No need to change a thing! The auto-draw feature is really quick and responds instantly.
The kit includes two pods with built-in coils: 0.8-ohm and 0.6-ohm. They have COREX 2.0 flavor-boosting technology, which promises explosive flavor and extended pod life. Is it just a marketing gimmick? Let’s find out! I tested the 0.8-ohm pod for MTL (50/50 e-liquid) and the 0.6-ohm pod for RDL (70VG e-liquid).
0.8-ohm (MTL)
Love at first puff! These new 0.8-ohm pods are awesome. Usually, pods and coils need some break-in time but this one worked great right from the start. I have used 35 mL of e-liquid with it and the flavor is just starting to fade.
One surprising thing is how it enhances the sweetness of my e-liquid. I always test new vapes with familiar flavors, so I can judge their performance. This flavor has never tasted so sweet. I am really impressed with these COREX 2.0 pods.
0.6-ohm (RDL)
This pod needed about 30 puffs to break in before it worked perfectly. It did not boost the sweetness like the 0.8-ohm pod, but the flavor was still great. I have always liked VAPORESSO’s 0.6-ohm GTX coils for RDL and this one is no exception.
At the time of this review, the 0.6-ohm pod has been used with about 25 mL of e-liquid. The flavor has not dropped, but I have started getting some semi-dry hits, probably because of my thick e-liquid. VAPORESSO recommends 50VG to 60VG for this pod but I actually used 70VG.
About Battery Life
The LUXE X2 has a big 2000 mAh battery which is a nice upgrade from the original 1500 mAh. It charges fast through a USB-C port at the bottom, taking about 67 minutes to go from empty to fully charged. You can see the battery status on the LED light above the button, which changes color as it charges:
Green – 70 to 100%
Blue – 30 to 70%
Red – 0 to 30%
VAPORESSO says the battery can last up to 4 days but this depends on how much you vape. A light user might get close to that but for most people, it will be less. I managed to vape about 11 to 12 mL per charge, which lasted me a whole day.
Remember, the LUXE X2 is a direct-output device so the power drops as the battery drains. When the battery is around 40%, the vape experience is not as good especially for restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping.
Last Words
The VAPORESSO LUXE X2 may not be the fanciest refillable pod vape out there but it was not meant to be. It is a simple and easy-to-use device that any vaper can enjoy without any trouble. In that way, it is a big win.
The new COREX 2.0 pods perform great. Even if you already have an older LUXE X kit, I did still suggest trying these new pods. Just remember to use 50-60VG e-liquids, so the wicking keeps up.
On the downside, a lockable firing button would be nice for extra peace of mind when carrying it in your pocket or bag. And the performance drops when the battery is low, which is common for direct voltage devices.
Despite those minor issues, the good things about the LUXE X2 far outweigh the bad. I have tried many pod systems and small AIO devices, and the LUXE X2 stands among the best. I will definitely be stocking up on those COREX 2.0 pods.
