Vape Design
The X Mini is a little gadget that makes people want to come closer and see it. Even though the one I have is just grey and black, with a clear orange button, the X Mini catches your eye. The coolest part is the bottom which lights up blue when you use it.
The X Mini comes in different colors but they all look nice and calm. The colorful parts are mostly around the tank and the letter X in the name. The rest of it stays the same.
The X Mini is about as big as a battery and weighs very little so it feels nice and safe in your hand. It is made of polycarbonate, which means it is easy to grip.
You can see the insides through the clear outside layer and it looks awesome. The grey ring at the top is where the tank is held with magnets and it lets air in. The tank has a bit of wiggle room but strong magnets hold it in place. Still, if you drop it, the tank might fall out.
One problem is that the X Mini can’t stand up on its own. It is easy to carry in your pocket but be careful because the button might get pressed if you do not turn it off. The button is easy to press with your thumb but remember to turn the device off when you are not using it.
Finally, the bottom part of the X Mini changes from clear to solid black where the charger port is. When you take a puff, the bottom lights up with a cool blue color. You can not turn off the light but it is not too bright.
Using Guide
The X Mini is made for people who like to take big breaths or smaller breaths when they use it. This gadget works best with special juice that is thick, not for those with lots of nicotine. Even though it might look like a regular pod vape, it is really easy to use. It is like a tank you fill from the bottom and has a button to start it. No need to change settings just adjust how much air goes in. To turn it on, you have to press the button 5 times.
When you take it out of the box, it has a coil head that fits into the tank. This coil head needs to be removed by pinching it and pulling it out with your fingernails. If your fingers are big and your nails are short, it might be tricky so you might need something like a tiny screwdriver. It is a bit tight to pull out, even for people with smaller hands.
You can control how much air the X Mini lets in. When it is fully open, you can take deep breaths. When it is closed, you take smaller breaths. The tricky part is that you have to turn the tank to change the airflow, and there is no way to see easily where it is set. You have to take a puff to find out. This can be a little annoying, especially if you need to keep adjusting it.
One cool feature is when you put the tank in, the bottom of the device glows blue for a second to show it’s connected. It also lights up blue when you use it. The blue color looks really nice but I wish you could turn it off if you wanted to.
Performance
The X Mini works really well, kind of like a fantastic all-in-one toy. It gives great taste and lots of vapor and it always works the same way. This is because of VAPORESSO’s special technology called the honeycomb mesh coil that heats the juice evenly.
The X Mini is a powerful little device, giving up to 29 watts of power. It automatically adjusts the power to make using the coil just right. I am not sure if there will be other coil options but right now it has the 0.35-ohm honeycomb mesh coil which works really well.
When I use my favorite airflow setting, it is pretty quiet. However, when it is all the way open, it is a bit loud. That might be normal but I do not like it much. Another thing I have noticed is that if you take long, deep breaths with the airflow setting closed, the tip can get a bit hot.
I use my X Mini with special juice that has 70 VG and is 6 mg. When the airflow is all the way open, I did prefer a 3 mg juice. With a smaller airflow and 6 mg juice, there is a nice throat hit that I enjoy. It is a great balance between performance and the feel in my throat.
What I like most about the X Mini is the flavor. It is like using a great sub-ohm tank. The taste remains the same but the button is easy to press in your pocket. Sometimes, I notice it starts working in my pocket by accident. This might have hurt the coil and since there is only one coil in the kit, it is a bit problematic.
About Battery Life
For its 1150 mAh battery, I think the battery life is not very good. It is like a small gadget that is great to hold, but it doesn’t last long.
The battery takes an hour to charge. That is usual for this type of device but to me, an hour feels like a long time. Because that’s normal, I won’t list it as a problem.
While charging, the gadget pulses a blue light. When the light stays solid it means the battery is fully charged.
Last Words
Overall, I really like this gadget, even though it has some flaws. It is easy to carry in your pocket (just remember to turn it off first) and it feels nice to hold.
Usually, I use small pod vapes, but the tiny size and good quality of the X Mini make me want to use it. The biggest problem is the button can be pressed too easily when it is in your pocket. Sure, it is up to you to turn it off but let’s be honest: pressing the button five times every time you want to use it from your pocket is a bit tricky.
I do recommend the X Mini, just with some warnings. If you need to put it in your pocket or purse a lot it might be an issue. But from how it looks and how well it works, the X Mini is great. You have to decide for yourself if the good things about it are worth the small problems.
