The VMATE MAX is VOOPOO’s latest and greatest pod system. It is a step up from the ARGUS G2 Mini that we checked out earlier, aimed at vapers looking for a premium experience. This sleek device packs a punch with its hidden screen and versatile features, powered by an internal 1200 mAh battery.
Included with the VMATE MAX are two cutting-edge V2 pods: a 0.7 ohm pod for mouth-to-lung (MTL) vaping and a 0.4 ohm pod for restricted direct lung (RDL) hits. Each pod can hold up to 3 mL of e-liquid and now fills from the side, enhancing both performance and longevity. Plus, it is compatible with the original 2 mL bottom-fill pods if you prefer those.

The VMate Max Pod System Kit by VooPoo is like a little superhero for vapers. It has a strong 1200mAh battery that can last up to three days on a single charge. Pretty impressive, right? This device looks cool and has a hidden screen with colorful lights to show you your vaping data.
The VMate Max uses a 3ml pod cartridge that you fill from the top so you can easily see how much e-juice is left. Its special design makes the pod easy to insert and remove. You get two pod options with this kit: one with a 0.4-ohm coil and another with a 0.7-ohm coil, both with a really long lifespan. You can also adjust the power to three different levels for your ideal vape experience.

Vape Design
The VOOPOO VMATE MAX is a vape device that is a bit like a stick. It is the same size as the recent ARGUS G2 and G2 Mini so it fits nicely in your pocket. It has a screen and you can change the power settings. There is also a special Shift mode. At the back, there is an air slider you can move to adjust how you vape from tight to more open.
There is a button on the side but it is not for vaping. You just inhale to vape with this pod system. The button does other things, which I will explain later. The USB-C charging port is at the bottom. It has two lights at the front that you can turn off. The battery life is shown as a percentage on the screen which is really helpful.
The VMATE MAX comes in 7 colors including one called Neon Blue that fades from blue to green. The VOOPOO logo is small and above the screen, while the VMATE logo is on the back below the air slider.
The front looks like a gem and has a brushed finish so it is stylish but also neat. You will not see the screen or the lights until you press the button so it looks simple and classy but has cool hidden features. Overall, it is a sturdy and well-made device.
Using Guide
The VOOPOO VMATE MAX is a great pod system that is easy for beginners and advanced enough for experienced vapers. You just inhale to vape, and there is one button that does a lot. It would not accidentally get pressed in your pocket.
By default, the device is in Shift mode:
- Press the button three times to switch modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, and Hard).
- Press twice to turn the LED light on/off.
- Press once to turn the screen on.
- Press 5 times while off to turn it on.
- If it is already on, press 5 times to access the settings, like resetting puffs or switching to Power mode.
There is an air slider on the back to adjust from a tight vape to a looser one. Although it shines for tight vapes, it can also do restricted vapes with the 0.4-ohm coil.
The pods fill from the side and click into place but they can be tricky to pull out. The pods are visible so you can see the juice level, though they are tinted and need some light. Overall, it is a great device but could be better with magnetic pods.
Pod Kit Performance
The VMATE MAX works with the same pods as the rest of the VMATE series. The older pods have a 2 mL capacity with 0.7-ohm and 1.2-ohm options that you need to take out to fill from the bottom. The VMATE MAX comes with two newer pods, each holding 3 mL and filling from the side one 0.7 ohm and one 0.4 ohm. These new pods are designed to prevent leaks and in my testing, they did not leak at all.
Both pods provided great flavor and lasted a long time. I vaped 30 mL with each pod without any problems, which is impressive since the minimum expected is 20 mL for these coils.
I preferred the 0.7-ohm coil but the 0.4-ohm coil worked well too, especially in Eco mode. With adjustable power and airflow, this device lets you customize your vaping experience easily. Overall, I am very happy with how the VMATE MAX performs.
About Battery Life
The VMATE MAX is said to last for three days on a single charge, but that’s more for light vapers. I tend to vape a lot so I will talk about the battery capacity and charging speed.
The internal battery is 1200 mAh just like the G2 Mini and it charges with a USB-C port at 5V/2A. I checked these specs, and the actual charge rate is 2.03A so it really charges fast. It took about 33 minutes for a full charge, which is quite impressive. The battery size is about 1040 mAh usable, fitting my expectations.
You can also vape while it charges, which is a big plus. Overall, I am very happy with the battery and charging performance of the VMATE MAX.
Last Words
Overall, the VOOPOO VMATE MAX looks and feels like a top-notch pod device. It has awesome coils that last a long time, charges super fast, and lets you adjust your vape settings without being too complicated. If you want a pod with adjustable airflow, adjustable power, and a big battery this is the one I am really happy with this device.
